Grave Of the Firflies

Great movie about wartime Japan, Back when people actually cared about 2d animation. Fair warning it's not a happy film, but it does remind us that we are capable of great cruelty, and loss can be a very painful thing. Sometimes painful enough to make one not wish to go on.

On a brighter note, Autumn is coming to Wuhan. As hot as it is the leaves are leaving the trees and everything is transforming from green to reds and golds. I am told there is a gradual change in temperature between summer and autumn but we will just have to see. Have 5 days off coming up for the national holiday. Was hoping not to spend ti with a cold but we will just have to see. Well gotta get back to class check you all later.

Douglas, What ever did you put in your stomach to deserve such a puke? Was it Saki? That stuff will knock you on your behind. I am sure you remember that you should not partake of too much of the fermented juice, so be careful, Okay?

I hope Tom is sharing his notes with you, then it is not so much repeating. The main thing I wanted to tell you is that I did finally find your Game Manuals! They were right there in the door rack of Grandpa's end table. Now the question is, do I need to send them to you, or would it be worth it? Boy, your written address is a doozy, the Zing Zing building? Hmmmmm Your Dad gave it to Grandpa over the phone, and i figured they must both have been drinking. I wondered if I should mail a letter first to see if it actually reaches you? Let me know, Honey.

I was glad that Tom had your link up on his page, as you are at home on Favorites and he is at the office. Makes him easier to contact. Hope you are feeling better by now. Tom mentioned something about a fried sharing his Nyquill with you, You should be able to buy it at the Wal Mart?

The Autumn colors sound very beautiful, as you know we don't see much of that here in the Magic Valley! We have been thinking of wandering up North of San Antonio in the Hill Country in early November as they have the fall colors also.

Got to run, enjoying all the communication with you boys.

Love Grandma
