Ho Hum
I find myself needing a real break, we aren't going to have any real time off of work until Autumn. If I want to travel, realisticly I won' t be able to do so until the winter break. I really find myself needing a break now though, a serious one. Things have become so tedious and stressful ... Sigh ... I have to go to class.

Although our situations aren't entirely comparable, I feel the same way.
Because of management screw-up, additional hours of overtime have been offered. And I'm a sucker for OT, so back to the extended salt mine slaving.
Your Dad spent the night last night as a pit stop on way to Scottish games in Arlington. After his drive and my 10 hour OT day, we went down to S. Congress, drank a couple of beers and ate pizza slices. It was Republic of Texas motorcycle rally weekend ... literally thousands of hogs assembled in Austin. Just more traffic. Today, he went on to Arlington, and I went in for another 10 hour OT day.
The point is, is that if you HAVE to be tied down by work, put all other thoughts and activities aside, minimizing spending (for a limited time, of course) and maximize work and income generation. At the end of a "tedious" and "stressful" period, you will have free time ahead of you and money to boot.
Anyway, that's what I do.

That makes three of us. I'm doing what Patrick is doing and making the most of the situation. I'm looking forward to the free time even though I was going to go to West Virginia I think I may do something else. Can't wait.
